Zagłębie Lubin has one of the best youth training systems in Poland. In the 2025/26 season, they took second place in the Młodzieżowiec 2.0 ranking, only behind Lech Poznań.

How does it happen in Lubin?

At the facilities of the KGHM Zagłębie Football Academy, located right next to the stadium, the eleventh edition of the KGHM Cup is taking place, one of the largest children's tournaments in Poland. Lubin has been visited by, among others, the academies of Lech Poznań, Legia Warszawa, Jagiellonia Białystok, GKS Katowice, Beniaminek Krosno, Varsovia Warszawa, and Widzew Łódź.

Who is responsible for this success?

The director of the Zagłębie Academy, Dr. Krzysztof Paluszek, is responsible for this success. He says that the goal is for young Miedziowi players to compete with the best teams from all over the country and beyond.

Zagłębie Lubin has as many as 80 players trained by the club who can boast of making their debut at the highest level of competition in Poland or abroad, as of June 2026. Fifteen of the club's graduates represented the first team of Zagłębie in the spring round of Ekstraklasa, including Damian Dąbrowski, Dominik Hładun, and Arkadiusz Woźniak.
