Zagłębie Lubin has acquired two new players. These are Szymon Łyczko, who left first-league Stal Rzeszów at the end of the 2025/26 season, and Paweł Kosmalski, who previously played for Śląsk's reserves. Łyczko signed a contract with Zagłębie until June 30, 2028, and Kosmalski until June 30, 2029. Both players come on a free transfer basis. Szymon Łyczko played 31 games for Stal Rzeszów last season, scoring three goals and making six assists. Paweł Kosmalski, on the other hand, played in the Betclic II league, where he scored 9 goals. Zagłębie Lubin is known for betting on young players, which may be one of the reasons why Łyczko and Kosmalski decided to join the club. Earlier, the club announced the extension of contracts with Jasmin Burić, Mateusz Grzybek, and Damian Dąbrowski. This means that Zagłębie Lubin already has several new players for the upcoming season. And it's worth mentioning that the club is actively working on strengthening its squad. But what's interesting is that both Łyczko and Kosmalski were highly sought after by other clubs, with Śląsk Wrocław being one of them. So, it's clear that Zagłębie Lubin has made some great signings.
